Lake Tahoe offers the largest concentration of ski and snowboard resorts in North America. There are seven resorts that give access to over 17520 acres (7090 ha) of skiing, 535 groomed trails, 125 lifts and 21 terrain parks. Heavenly, Kirkwood, and Sierra at Tahoe, are the closest resorts in the Southern area of Lake Tahoe with several other resorts around the lake and to the North. Lake Tahoe receives nearly 300 days of sunshine and 420 inches (10 m) of snow annually.
